Appropriate We are attentive to our clients aspirations, and responsive to their needs and budget. Our design process and architectural language is tailored for each client and project. We enjoy the design challenges of integrating new construction within older, established environments: both man-made and natural. In East Boston, we engaged residents of a public housing development in a participatory process to explore ways of increasing density while maintaining positive attributes of their community. Using techniques we have developed over several years, we worked intensely with a diverse group to determine the character, size, and layout of the new development. Through this collaborative process, community members have become supporters and advocates for the new project. Our final design proposal quadruples the number of dwellings on the property, while retaining the most important and beloved aspects of the existing housing.
