The Barnstable County Complex is the administrative and legal nerve center of Cape Cod, housing its courts, government offices and jail. In light of increasing problems with overcrowding and parking, and the impending relocation of the Jail, the County Commissioners decided to initiate a planning process to address the future of the County Complex. After facilitating two public meetings to gather concerns from residents, we did an extensive programming survey to understand the current and projected future space needs. Based on that information, we produced three masterplan options, with cost estimates, to help the Commissioners plan the future of the complex.
