East Boston

The Boston Housing Authority approached us to work with a community to design mixed income housing for a neighborhood in East Boston. Using a community charrette process we have developed over several years, we worked intensely with residents and other stakeholders to determine the character, size, and layout of the new development.

Through this collaborative process, community members have become supporters and advocates for the new project. Our final design proposal quadruples the number of dwellings on the property, while retaining the most important and beloved aspects of the existing housing.
