Portugese Mens Club Housing
Harwichport, MA

The Lower Cape Community Development Corporation is working with the Harwich Portuguese Men’s Club to develop a 9-acre parcel of land into affordable housing and a community center. With a team of Boston Architectural College students, we conducted a series of workshops with local residents to gather design ideas and preferences. Based on a thorough analysis of the site and its surroundings, as well as the results of the workshops, the team proposed a 37-unit housing development. The design draws upon the agrarian heritage of the area, and minimizes disruption of the hilly, wooded landscape.
